Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Virginia Lee Rose Elementary!

It is truly an honor to serve as your principal and to welcome both returning and new families to another exciting year at Rose. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in your child's education and are committed to making this a year filled with meaningful learning, strong relationships, and memorable experiences.

At Virginia Lee Rose, we believe every child deserves to learn in an environment where they feel safe, valued, challenged, and inspired. Our dedicated teachers and staff work tirelessly to create engaging learning experiences that encourage students to think critically, collaborate with others, persevere through challenges, and celebrate their growth. We are honored that you entrust us with your children each day, and we take that responsibility to heart.

This year, we continue our commitment to providing high-quality instruction in every classroom. Through collaborative Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), our teachers focus on the most essential learning, monitor student progress, and provide timely support or enrichment so every child has the opportunity to succeed. We believe all students can achieve at high levels when we maintain high expectations, provide excellent instruction, and work together with families as partners.

Rose is more than a school—it's a community. Throughout the year, we look forward to sharing special traditions such as Literacy Night, Trunk or Treat, Success Together Night, PTO-sponsored events, student performances, and engaging assemblies that bring our families together. We encourage you to become involved by attending events, joining PTO, participating in School Site Council or ELAC, volunteering, or simply staying connected with your child's teacher. Your partnership plays an important role in your child's success.

Our mission is to provide a safe and engaging environment where every student can reach their full potential. Together, we are developing accountable, solution-oriented learners while reinforcing our ARMOR expectations: Accountable, Respectful, Motivated, Organized, and Ready. These values help our students build the character, confidence, and skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond.

Thank you for being part of the Rose family. We look forward to another incredible year of learning, growth, and Knight pride!
